$36.00 per week for a 2 hour practice session. Fall and spring are 15 weeks. Once registered, you’ll be billed $36 a week, per child, every Friday for the total weeks in the session –– unless (of course) the program is not working for you or your child for any reason.
$40 registration fee, covering the cost of our secure payment system, heathy snacks like hummus, veggies and fruits, art supplies for making instruments and posters and includes a performance trophy at the end of the session.
We offer 2 hour weekly practices times Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. If your Skunker misses a practice you can make it up any other day of that week or the following weeks as many times as needed.
Spring of 2023 is now open for registration. It starts the 2nd week of January and ends the last week of April. The final performance is Thursday, April 27th from 5:00-6:00 pm.
The performance takes place in our back yard and is a super fun experience for everyone. It takes place on the last Thursday of the 15-week session. For fall 2022 it will be on November 17th from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. For Spring 2023 it will be on April 27th from 5:00 – 6:00 pm.
If your Skunker misses a practice you will still be billed the $36.00 a week; however, your Skunker can makeup a missed practice any other day of that week or the following weeks as many times as they need per week.
Can I register late?
The cutoff for late registration is week 3 of the program. But if there’s space please sign up! Register HERE.
What instruments will my Skunker learn about?
Our focus is on giving elementary students a multi-media, team-building experience through the context of a rock band. Skunkers explore playing a drum set, electric and acoustic guitars, electric bass guitar, keyboards, marimba, drum machines, ukulele, piano, microphones and effects machines. We work on singing, note reading, improvisation, music listening, music history, music technology and expressing ourselves through songwriting. You can see our week by week lesson plans HERE.
Can we bring our own instrument?
Absolutely but not required.
Does my Skunker need any prior musical experience?
No! Come as you are.
